Job Description and Personal Specification
A lady and gentleman, who have a learning difficulty, require a personal assistant to join a small team of workers.
Up to 24 hrs. per week, including sleep-ins.
Rate of pay:
£10.82 per hour
£9.50 per hour sleep in rate

Location: Heddon on the Wall
Main Duties:
- Assistance with personal care and meals.
- Daily support to enable them to live at home
- Administer or supervise prescription and other medication and treatment.
- Implement safe working practices.

Enabling at day centre.
Personal specification, ideally, the applicant would have:
1. A Mature outlook.
2. Be a car driver
2. Be a car driver
3. Be available to cover 7 days per week
4. Be experienced and qualified in learning difficulties.
5. Have a caring nature.
6. Be a good communicator.
Training:
Where it is required, such as in Health and Safety matters, practical training and guidance will be arranged and the care worker will be expected to attend.
Further Information:
An Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).
