Part-Time Administrator (Personal Best Foundation)

(Freelance/Self-Employed)

12-month fixed term contract

1 to 1.5 days per week

£120 per day

The Personal Best Foundation is an independent registered charity established to provide children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and communities with the opportunity to participate and reach their full potential in athletics, breaking down social inequalities and improving their health and wellbeing.

Personal Best Foundation is welcoming applications for our new post of self-employed part-time Administrator for our growing charity. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of our dedicated team, enabling the smooth day- to-day running of our work and helping us reach and make a significant difference to the lives of children and young people through athletics.

This post will initially be for one year, with the possibility of renewal, and the post holder will work remotely from home and on a freelance basis. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly up to 42 hours per month (1-1.5 days per week) with a daily rate of £120. Depending on location and the needs of the work, there may be a possibility of occasional (quarterly) meetings in London.

The post will provide administrative support across the organisation, working across the key areas of the charity including governance, activity delivery, fundraising and communications. The role will be required to support the Board of Trustees, provide meeting minutes, respond to all enquiries, maintain the charity database, to manage and maintain all charity subscriptions and memberships, and follow up correspondence with supporters and donors.

We are looking for a highly skilled and enthusiastic person with good administration experience, who is proficient in a range of information and communication packages. This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, who can work flexibly and be confident working independently, using their own initiative, as well as having excellent interpersonal skills. The role of the Administrator is to ensure the effective and efficient administration of the organisation. This is a varied and dynamic role which is likely to evolve as the charity grows.

The Personal Best Foundation is affiliated to and supported by England Athletics (the National Governing Body for Athletics in England); the Personal Best Foundation was officially launched in November 2022.
