I am mother to a 9 year old autistic boy, who is hoping to recruit a personal assistant to take him out for the day, as well as spending time at home. This would be every other Saturday and additional days during school holidays.
On days out, he does enjoy going to the park, bowling, cinema and going to the theatre and Museums. His interests are cars, Roblox, being silly and drawing.
Alongside his autism, he has ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), functional neurological disorder, is a wheelchair user due to not being able to walk long distances and is incontinent, therefore experience in personal care would be essential.
The ideal candidate would be someone who is up for a challenge and has the experience/knowledge with his physical needs, but the opportunity to shadow a current Personal Assistant will be available. Full UK driving licence and vehicle to accommodate his wheelchair would be ideal but not essential. Alongside providing personal care, administrating medication and food preparation would also be required.

Summary terms and conditions:
- The rate of pay for this position is £9.91 per hour
- Hours: Every other Saturday 9am-5pm and additional hours during school holidays.
- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks
- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.
- Satisfactory references from two referees, one of which must be your current or last employer.
- Completion of a satisfactory probationary period of 3 months.
