Personal Assistant for child P/T @ £12.50 p/h, up to 6hrs p/w evenings in Norwich

Hours:
Up to 6 hours per week, varying each week but scheduled in advance:
- 2-3 hours on up to 3 x evenings per week (usually sometime between 4pm-7.30pm),
*Also available weekend daytime PA role up to 3 hours p/w, can be combined into 1 role at 9 hours p/w*
Rate of pay:
£12.50 p/h but rate of pay may be negotiable for the right candidate

Personal Assistant/Carer position available, starting as soon as possible (subject to DBS etc),
Details:
-Supporting X to safely play at home, often alongside his older sibling (9y/o) - encouraging engagement in a turn-taking games, following X's lead to play with different toys, suggesting activities to help broaden his play
-Supporting X with appropriate behaviour and communication - supporting calm engagement and emotional regulation, reminders to be polite and kind, giving X time to understand, ensuring X doesn't hurt himself or others, modelling appropriate behaviour
-Support with meal times - involving lots of encouragement to get to the table, stay seated and eat, supporting returning calmly to the table when necessary
-Support with bedtimes - getting changed, story time, getting settled and following the routine
-Some personal care - occasional changing pads, assistance toileting and washing hands, supporting changing clothes, brushing teeth and support with bath times
- During school holidays there may be occasional days accompanying family on day trips/outings to support X, therefore own transport is preferable but not essential.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with/caring for children with additional needs, particularly autism and Learning Disability
- Epilepsy first aid training or willing to undertake (provided)
- Friendly, patient and understanding
- Reliable
- Right to work in the UK
- DBS required (cost covered)
