An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, organised, and highly skilled individual to join the Corporate Nursing team. You will be providing high quality administrative support to the Deputy Chief Nurses and the Chief Nurses Office directorate. This will involve working closely with the Chief Nursing Officer's EA, and the PA to the Chief AHP and Director of Midwifery; together you will form the administrative core of the CNO directorate.

If successful, you will develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours through our staff apprenticeship Business Administrator programme, whilst being employed on a banded salary (band 3 or 4 depending on experience/qualifications)

To provide a full and comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Deputy Chief Nurses, including typing of correspondence, reports, letters, minutes and other documents as required.
Maintain and ensure confidentiality is observed at all times including shredding and disposal of confidential information both paper and electronic.
To maintain on a daily basis an effective diary system, electronically as required by the Deputy Chief Nurses ensuring good practice and efficient use of working time. This may require use of tact and sensitivity to negotiate an agreement when dealing with large groups of senior staff and/or external staff.
To co-ordinate formal meetings and functions on behalf of team members, in addition to preparing agendas and relevant enclosures from information received.
To attend meetings on multiple hospital sites and take, produce and circulate accurate complex minutes within an agreed time. Maintenance of personal & electronic files.
To liaise effectively with staff, managers and outside agencies in order to ensure sound communication within the department/teams.
To share in the recruitment, induction and support of administrative and clerical staff, particularly in relation to administrative procedures.
To prepare and collate departmental background information in preparation of business cases, reports or other document and produce statistics, as appropriate to support special projects.
