Job Description and Personal Specification:

An senior gentleman in the Berwick area is looking to recruit care workers to support him within the family home. The gentleman has right side weakness and is none mobile with a diagnosis of COPD, and the family are looking for care workers who are flexible and able to support with transfers
The gentleman enjoys watching television he really enjoys watch the sport


Care Plan: 10.5hr a week which include double ups for both day and evening calls, 2 times a day 7 days a week. Morning call required approx. 4 days a week to support family with transfers.

Days and times depending on the tides will be discussed at interview
Rates of Pay: £11.91 per hour

Location: Holy Island
Main Duties:

Support family with morning transfers and personal care tasks, some light meal preparation, support around pain managing and helping to reduce the risk of falls. Also, to be flexible to cover for holidays and sickness
The role requires close personal contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.

  • Have an outgoing personality
  • Ability to both take instructions and use own initiative.
  • Experience in health & social care desirable – experience in working with people with both physical and mental health needs
  • Respect confidentiality is a must
Further Information: An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS) will have to be obtained for the successful candidate (at employer’s expense).
Training: Where it is required, such as in Health and Safety matters, practical training and guidance will be arranged and the care worker will be expected to attend. This will include moving and handling, medication awareness and additional training specific to the client.
