The School of Business is looking to appoint a highly skilled individual to undertake a full-time Personal Assistant role. The role supports senior academic management in one of the University’s Schools (Dean of School and Associate Dean for Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE).
We are seeking a positive and proactive individual with excellent communication and administrative skills. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team which has been newly created, therefore we are looking for individuals who demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and see change as an opportunity. Whilst not essential, knowledge and experience of Higher Education and the current challenges are preferred.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate recent experience working as a PA with a high level of verbal and written communication skills, including maintaining a high level of confidentiality and compliance with GDPR. An ability to prioritise a busy workload and multi-task is essential for the role. The role requires skills in diary management, arranging and servicing meetings (including minute-taking), supporting finance administration and HR processes, and experience in using digital technologies to maximise effectiveness is essential.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a flexible and collaborative approach to their work and work well as part of a team. A commitment to continuous improvement is also an essential component of the role.
