About the Trust
Rochdale Infirmary is located on Whitehall Street in Rochdale, and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport. There is onsite parking (fees will apply).
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Manage all correspondence, reports etc, always maintaining confidentiality and ensuring urgent items are prioritised.
- Schedule meetings: devise and distribute agendas and the taking and typing back of minutes.
- Support Consultants, providing transcription services for clinical correspondence.
- Manage electronic diaries, taking accurate messages and making appointments whenever necessary.
- Manage enquires from medical staff and GPs including the efficient operation of a ‘bring forward’ system to ensure an efficient service is provided.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Excellent telephone skills
- Microsoft package knowledge – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
