Job Title: Personal Assistant – 37.5 hrs per week

About the Trust
North Manchester General Hospital is located in Crumpsall, 3.5 miles north of Manchester City Centre and is now part of the wider family of MFT hospitals creating a Single Hospital Service for Manchester.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Undertaking or coordinating high level administrative and efficient Personal Assistant services and secretarial support to their Deputy Directors or Director. This includes diary management, organising timetables, minute taking at Committee or Board meetings and managing office systems, taking follow up action as required.
- Accountable for own actions and able to plan/organise own time, with reference to Line Manager when necessary.
- To exercise judgement in making assessments of urgent or sensitive issues either by dealing with them appropriately or ensuring they are bought to the attention of the Deputy Director of Directors.
- Supports their Deputy Director or Directors, across the whole range of their duties and deals with all enquires to include those of a sensitive or confident nature; making decisions requiring persuasive skills where agreement and co-operation is required.
- The above indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in the light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
- GCSE (or equivalent) English and maths, Grade C or above
- NHS experience
- Experience within a similar role
- Experience in minute taking
- Experience in undertaking a full range of office management and secretarial procedures.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organisation skills
- Microsoft package knowledge – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
