Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bridgend Type: Small Animal Location: Bridgend Practice Type: Part of a group Facilities: They have 6 branches in the South Wales region. South Wales Vets has been through some exciting changes in the last few years, and now the opportunity to develop your own small team has become available. They have digital radiography, an in-house Idexx laboratory, ultrasound, tonopen, and separate dog and cat wards. The practice has just had renovation to the reception, prep, and theatre and is surprisingly large.
Positioned in a desirable area on the M4. They are close to the beautiful Kenfig beach & nature reserve and in proximity to Cardiff. Team: You will be joining a supportive team made up of 12 full-time Vets, 4 Head Nurses, 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Receptionist, 1 Veterinary Care Assistant, and 2 Student Veterinary Nurses. We offer support and encouragement to our team to further their professional development.
Role: We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the team. General first opinion work (and if the candidate wants), this role can provide some managerial experience for those wanting to expand their skill set. They focus on a happy and honest work culture, with a no-blame culture and good benefits. Applicant Requirements: They are looking for a friendly and open character who would fit well with the clients and the wider team.
Someone willing to have fun in the workplace, whilst getting the job done. This role could support someone who is interested in leadership/management, however, this is not mandatory. Hours: This is a full-time position, spread over 4 weekdays and a 1:4 Saturday rota. No OOH duties and overtime is paid back either in TOIL or monetarily.
