Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Brighton, East Sussex Job: Permanent Veterinary Surgeon Type: Small Animal Location: Brighton, East Sussex Practice: The practice has several clinics in the local area with the main hospital site providing 24-hour care. Team Info: 21 Vets and 35 Nurses employed across the clinics. They have in-house support in many areas including dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, and exotics, with many vets working on their surgical and medical certificates. Facilities: Their purpose-built hospital has a range of high-tech equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, laparoscopy, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and a fully equipped in-house laboratory They have dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards, with a fantastic nurse and support team to work alongside.
Role: This is a permanent position working 4 days per week, 1:5 weekends with TOIL. NO OOHs.based at their main 24-hour hospital, working as part of the day team, joining the weekly rotation of ward, surgical and consulting shifts, that are shared amongst the hospital team. The caseload will be varied, with both emergency and advanced medical cases referred to them from their 5 branch practices and local practices that they support. Candidate: This position would suit an enthusiastic veterinary surgeon keen to develop further and join an existing friendly team.
Salary: Competitive between £45,000- £50,000 DOE plus 6.6 weeks holiday per year, including Bank Holidays Opportunity to buy and sell holiday Enhanced sick, maternity, and paternity pay RCVS and VDS fees covered, plus one other subscription £1,750 towards CPD (more if a certificate holder) and 5 days leave Employee discount Pension scheme Health Shield Scheme.
