The Position
Full time (10 PA's) Consultant Rheumatologist
The trust is the second biggest provider of Rheumatology care within the country with a clear vision to develop and deliver the Rheumatology service further. At present we are the main secondary care provider for a diverse local population of 950,000.
This is a full time post (10PA) working both within the trust and with a session(s) to be worked within the Alliance partnership which hosts the community elective care service across the county. These sessions are normally an outpatient session within a community hospital with easy access from the main Hospital. The Rheumatology service is part of Specialty Medicine within the Emergency and Specialty Medicine CMG.
Health Service
You will join an established, dynamic team of 8 full time Rheumatology consultants who run various specialised clinics such as Early Inflammatory Arthritis, Connective Tissue Disease and Vasculitis, Spondyloarthropathy services, one stop bone clinic, Myositis clinic and young adult clinic, and Ultrasound Synovitis clinic.
The department work closely with other specialties and run combined services with lung, eye, renal, and haematology. The department participate actively in clinical and commercial research and published work extensively. You will have the opportunity to develop a specialist clinical and research interest to compliment the existing specialist interests.

MRCP or equivalent
GMC registration with license to practice
Within 6 months of GMC CCT
