This is a key time to be joining British Airways as we Build a Better BA. We take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else.

Role Information

Are you an inspirational leader that enjoys working in a fast paced, dynamic environment? Are you motivated by coaching and supporting people to be at their best? A number of exciting secondment/fixed term contract opportunities have arisen to lead our people within British Airways' flagship airport, London Heathrow (permanent positions may also be available).

As British Airways builds back, our customer experience and ground operations teams continue to diversify, with an exciting and varied mix of experience and length of service. We are looking for inspirational people leaders who will be accountable for role modelling our British Airways leadership behaviours and values to a team of around 100 team members. Within this role we are looking to fill a variety of positions which will involve assisting new entrants and the onboarding of future talent into Heathrow, leading our colleagues within customer experience or our colleagues below wing. Your main objective, regardless of the team you lead and their length of experience, is to ensure that they deliver to the highest operational standards.

No stranger to hard work, you will thrive on a challenge and be motivated by supporting your team to achieve their full potential, working with either our new entrants, our customer service or ground operation terminal based Heathrow teams.

Your daily focus will be on ensuring that your team deliver exceptional standards of customer, operational and colleague satisfaction. This will be underpinned by a strong focus on safety and revenue. You will drive high levels of engagement within your team by being clear on their roles and responsibilities and through the effective application of policy and identify developmental opportunities to see your people progress. You will also be flexible, ready to be called upon to support the operation when required to do so.

To help you lead your team to be the best that they can be, you will be equipped with world class training covering people development, performance management, internal policies and procedures.

Our Corporate and Support roles come with big potential to make your mark on our business. The airline industry changes so fast that we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors. If you’re an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.

Your impact on British Airways will be rewarded with a competitive rewards package plus the opportunity to develop and progress your career in many directions.

Not only will you have the chance to further your career development within BA, you’ll have access to our competitive reward and benefits package. This includes core company paid benefits such as a Defined Contribution pension scheme, generous Life Assurance cover and a whole host of options to support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing. You can also sign up for a range of voluntary benefits such as Private Medical cover, Dental and Critical Illness cover, Technology Scheme, Cycle to Work and Electric Car Scheme. And of course, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefit of staff travel as soon as you join us.
