We have the fantastic opportunity for an experienced People Operations Manager to join Absolute Taste to support us on our LIV Golf events.
This role does require international travel to all LIV Golf events.
The ideal candidate must have over 2 years of Management experience in People Operations or HR for large scale businesses.
General
Lead and be accountable for all recruitment and travel of staff for all LIV Golf events.- Recruitment of the fixed term, casual direct and agency staffing resource as required for all LIV Golf Events
- Provide detailed forecasting of fixed term and casual staffing budgets
- Working with the wider people operations team and lead on the planning, facilitating and implementations of accommodation, transport and parking for events all LIV Golf events
- Working with the wider people operations team lead on all accreditation requirements for all staff at LIV Golf events
- Manage the uniform requirements for all staff at LIV Golf events
- Manage the welfare requirements for all staff at LIV Golf events
- Source and recruit local staff for all LIV Golf events
- Manage the T and A system for all LIV Golf events
- Lead in Identifying efficiencies within the people operation that improve budget and operational performance.
- ensure that casual employee payroll is kept within the operating targets as set
- prepare the casual employee rotas, and any other administration duties.
- Perform an event leadership role across all departments. Providing direction and motivation to all teams
- Be able to communicate progress clearly, accurately and transparently to key internal and external stakeholders
- Form part of the strategic team, ensuring the overarching goals of the project are achieved.
- Management of ‘on site’ team and ability to scale up and adapt management between pre event requirements and on event multiple large teams
- Lead with the sourcing, managing and controlling of local staffing agencies and transport companies.
- Lead the development of people operations aspects of the event and to work to strict budgets whilst striving for great service
- Strict management of labour budgets, to make sure targets and budgets are adhered to
- Clear and precise itineraries and staff engagement packs created and circulated prior to all events
Budget & Finance
Fully control and are accountable for the labour and travel budgets of all events, alongside future forecasting and reforecasting throughout the year- To work alongside Finance department and Project Lead for ongoing management of the budget, including forecasting, tracking spend
- Tracking all associated spends, including but not limited to; Labour, travel, uniform and staff welfare
- Follow company finance processes; raising PO’s, good receipts, submitting supplier invoices to finance
- Daily reporting on labour spends to Project lead and LIV Golf.
Strategy
Act as an ambassador for Absolute Taste towards our client and guests- Monitoring and maintaining overall morale of the Absolute Taste LIV Golf team, paying close attention to the mental well-being of each individual team member and ensuring that they’re needs are always taken into consideration and acting accordingly
- Responsible for working with internal departments, external suppliers and other 3rd parties stakeholders to implement the department strategy
Onsite
Attendance of all LIV Golf events and key site visits- Act as key member of the event delivery team as required.
- Responsible for the safe movements of all fulltime and freelance staff.
- Daily budget updates on labour spends on event.
- Operating and managing the Absolute Taste T&A systems
- Calm and decisive in challenging, stressful situations
- Managing local staffing agencies and transport providers
- Lead the setup of staff check in areas and welfare areas on site as well as pack down processes of each area.
- Planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of all people ops staff and help to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure all records and reports are fully completed, up-to-date and comply with local and company policies.
Other
Excellent team relationship building and recruitment skills.- A variety of operational and planning experience for greenfield events internationally and domestic.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all LIV Golf stakeholders and internal teams
- Design and continuously improve and implement processes to ensure the smooth running of the event
- Enforce adherence to regulations, quality and safety standards in accordance with local laws
- Attend the post-event debrief with the client
- Organised, punctual, motivational, and with varied communication skills, (formal, informal, international)
- To be Conversant with all company codes of conduct
