OVERVIEW:
Are you our next People Operations Manager? People Operations - This is a new way of working for Gymshark, so the purpose of the role is to design our new approach, and bring stakeholders along with you on the journey.
We see this role not only as leading the team but happy to deliver the work too. You will be at the heart of our People Operations and solve problems by improving processes and utilising systems. You will lead, coach and manage the team and ensure that the team deliver accurate, automated and efficient end-to-end people first process experience, utilising systems, data and processes.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Managing, developing and coaching direct reports and those in the wider People team on all things people operations, within a matrix reporting structure.
- Manage the day to day performance and service delivery of the People Operations team providing a customer focused query handling service to all Line Managers and employees.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategies and processes to create effective and efficient People processes to include Offer, Onboarding, ad-hoc employee transactions, terminations, payroll and benefits administration etc.
- Design and implement a ticketed way of working, tracking activity and SLA's.
- Working collaboratively with people partnering, performance & culture, talent acquisition, pay & perks, payroll, finance, tech and people systems teams to deliver the Gymshark objectives and ensure system alignment and accurate reporting.
- Lead the People Operations elements of contractor onboarding and management ensuring compliance with tax and legislative requirements such as IR35 in the UK.
- Lead the continued evolvement and development of our HRIS system, delivery and execution of the roadmap and partnering with the wider people team and people system team.
- Accountable for data governance, accuracy, and completeness across all People systems
- Regularly review and troubleshoot processes and People data to identify opportunities for further improvement, addressing key pain points.
- Leverage technical skills to propose process improvements, expand reporting capabilities and automate tasks leveraging technology where applicable.
- Support the creation and documentation of content related to processes and standard operating procedures.
- Accountable for compliance within the people operations team.
- Role modelling a hands-on approach and an eye for detail.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a People Operations lead role.
- Previous experience leading and managing change and transformation within this environment.
- Experience of building excellent relationships with stakeholders and bringing people on the journey
- Experience of managing HR projects
- Proven experience of managing a HR team
- An awareness of employment legislation and practices, with an eagerness to keeping this knowledge up to date.
- An understanding of payroll and tax implications of people activity
- A strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex topics both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences.
- Accurate, analytical, and approachable with a creative mindset
- Experience in a fast-paced working environment with the ability to respond to change.
WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:
- People Operations lead experience in a global company.
This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
