The Post:
An opportunity has arisen in our Human Resources function for a People Data & Insights Analyst to join our team. As People Data & Insights Analyst you will:
- Analyse and interpret complex data
- Use a wide range of data sources and powerful analytics tools to provide insight that supports better decision making
- Present complex data effectively through data visualisation techniques
- Communicate insights in a customer focussed environment
- Help core customers access and analyse our many data sets
- Compile and present important statistics to a wide audience, including NHS Scotland, NHS Boards, NSS Committees and stakeholders, other partner organisations.
The Candidate:
You should have proven experience of analysing and interpreting complex data in a work environment and communicating insights in a customer focussed environment. Can demonstrate experience and a depth of understanding of at least one structured programming language used in data analysis, as well as experience of using Data visualisation tools to produce a variety of operational and bespoke reports/ dashboards for use by a wide range of customers.
You should also have experience of developing technical solutions to problems with minimal supervision and to solve problems in a logical and structured way. An understanding of how to construct reports and extract and manipulate information from relevant systems is essential. Experience of using Tableau and Power Query would be advantageous. You will work within a high-volume area and the ability to manage your workload, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are key for this role.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Meridian Court, Glasgow - please note, we will move from our Meridian Court premises in summer 2023, new location still to be confirmed.
Work pattern - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
