BA Engineering Wales is home to our world class engineering team and we are currently Building a Better BA through reshaping the colleague journey and driving an ambitious transformational people strategy to support business change. This People Business Partner role not only partners to the Head of BAEW Operations to drive the business strategy and people plan, but also leads a small team who are instrumental in supporting this delivery. This hugely rewarding and varied role creates opportunities across every element of the people agenda and supports development and growth in a people leadership role.
About the role
Our People Business Partners work closely with senior business leaders to provide guidance and counsel to enhance organisation performance, delivering local people plans to achieve our business objectives. Collaborating with senior leaders you'll provide support, coaching and challenge to deliver actions that will drive improved organisational performance, including the development of their own leadership capabilities.
You'll use data driven insight to review business and people performance, adding constructive tension into the organisation to ensure the three priorities of customer, shareholder and colleague are effectively balanced.
With a constantly evolving landscape in aviation, you'll ensure our organisational design is optimised and spot opportunities to transform the way we work. Courageous and adaptable in approach, you'll seek to drive step changes in performance by increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our processes.
As the BA Engineering Wales People Business Partner, you'll collaborate with other People Business Partners across BA as well as focussing on the support and development of the People team based onsite. Whilst people operations support is provided by the onsite People team, you will also collaborate with the centres of expertise at BA to ensure a seamless service is provided by both the BAEW People team and the wider People directorate. Accountable for the delivery of the HR foundation and lifecycle events throughout the calendar year.

Fixed term position for 9-12 months with a view to make permanent
This is a Hybrid role with flexible working based in BAEW’s purpose-built Aircraft Maintenance facility located near Cardiff International Airport. Occasional travel to London Heathrow will be required.
