Your New Role...

The People and Culture (P&C) team provides commercially focused solutions to Rocksteady Studios (approx. 280 employees). We are looking for a People and Culture Administrator to join our team.

The successful candidate will work closely with both the Rocksteady and wider Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) P&C teams, touching on all aspects of the administrative remit and employee life cycle.

This is an operational, hands on role for someone who has a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills and the passion to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

The role also provides generalist first line HR advice to employees and line managers.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Perform general HR administration including the creation of letters and slack/email communications to employees.
  • Maintain all applicable HCM systems including Payroll, Workday, and Benefits (e.g. recruiting reqs, onboarding, probation, offboarding, org changes, data updates, etc.).
  • Manage the relocation and Visa process for all employees and their families who require it. Work with vendors to resolve issues as needed.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to employees on Company policies and procedures. Escalate to Director, P&C or Business Partner where appropriate.
  • Be the first point of contact for first line employee relations related queries.
  • Keep track of and report on employees’ sickness absence; advise line managers directly on how to handle short and long-term absence in accordance with Company policy, manage absence system and procedures.
  • Manage all leaves of absences in the business including advising employees and their line managers in accordance with the Company’s policies and legislation. Ensure that all leave of absence pay is correctly documented and processed through Payroll.
  • Work with Finance and Production to develop and continually update the staffing plan and allocations.
  • Raise and generate purchase orders in SAP related to talent acquisition, immigration, relocation, training, etc.
  • Ensure that the administration of all UK benefits programmes is managed effectively in partnership with the WBD Benefits team and the annual re-enrolment process is administered effectively.
  • Liaise with WBD Benefits on a range of health and wellbeing initiatives, including exercise classes, fitness initiatives, EAP. Organise and review the impact of the annual benefits fair, suggesting and implementing improvements where appropriate.
  • Support the Director, P&C and Business Partner on the annual bonus and pay review processes, as well as the quarterly promotion & adjustment process. Provide analysis, ensure processing and handle paperwork associated with changes to terms and conditions, etc.
  • Manage and own the Rocksteady payroll to ensure the correct payment of salary, benefits and tax for all employees.
  • Continuously review and put forward recommendations for improvement of People and Culture programs and processes.
  • Work as and when required on special projects.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • Passion for delivering an exceptional HR Service to the business.
  • Experience within or a passion for Gaming or Media/Creative/Digital agency experience.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work well under time constraints, meeting objectives while working independently in a highly demanding environment.
  • Solid understanding of current employment legislation and HR compliance.
  • Part CIPD Qualified would be beneficial
  • Experience as an HR Administrator.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisation skills and follow-through.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven experience balancing multiple deadlines in a busy HR department.
  • Experience preparing payroll is beneficial.
  • Highly proficient with Word and Excel; PowerPoint useful but not essential. Demonstrable data entry skills.
  • Experience with Workday or other HCM systems is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is helpful.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work; willing to learn and get involved with duties outside of day-to-day job description.
  • Must be discreet, diplomatic and treat information within the department as highly-confidential.
  • Desire to pursue a career in generalist HR.
