KPMG’s Pensions Centre of Excellence (PCoE) is an exciting new initiative with rapid growth and new opportunities which has been established to standardise the audits of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes, driving consistency and ensuring delivery of high-quality audits.


What will you be doing?

  • Coordinating the completion of audit work and ensuring it is delivered to a high quality in accordance with KPMG Audit Methodology
  • Project managing all aspects of the audit, including agreeing audit timelines, team briefings and supervision, and delivery of audit work
  • Directing and overseeing the work of more junior team members, including reviewing their audit work, and providing coaching and mentoring support
  • Building relationships with the engagement staff at the audited entity and acting as an ambassador for the firm
  • Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects, focusing on optimising profitability


What will you need to do it?

  • Professional Qualification from a recognised Accountancy body
  • Recent and extensive external audit experience
  • Knowledge and experience of pension scheme audits
  • Practical knowledge of FRS102
  • Experience of managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff


Additional skills we’d love to see

  • Financial Services Audit experience
  • Knowledge and experience of IFRS Standards
  • Exhibits and stays current on appropriate industry and specialised knowledge, and leverages KPMG methodologies (including ESG Assurance)
