Pegasus Software Support Specialist

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our award-winning customer experience team responsible for supporting high-quality software solutions to hundreds of our customers.
Based from our Hull, Scunthorpe, or Peterborough office (or full remote working if not based locally) you will be part of a well-established and knowledgeable team who pride themselves on their product knowledge, as well as customer service skills in order to support our customer base with technical clarity and a personable experience.
As a multi-accredited software provider, we pride ourselves on offering a premium level of support and are now looking to add another exceptional software expert to our team with this role. As a support team our purpose is to:
- Maintain our current customer base by delivering exceptional customer service.
- Actively strive to reduce customer issues with a positive approach.
- To support the Organisation with technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
Within this role, some of the key areas you will be responsible for are:
- Responding to incoming phone calls and emails whilst maintaining our customer SLA’s
- Providing excellent customer service and technical clarity to our customer base.
- Maintaining records of customer interactions and changes.
- Ensure the tickets are resolved to a high standard, getting to the root cause of the issues proactively.
- Contribute towards team and company strategies, goals, and targets.
- Carrying out customer data fixes and ensuring this is compliant with audit requirements.
- Be aware of and abide by GDPR Regulations, treating customer data with care and sensitivity.
- Assisting with small projects for customers such as moving the application to a new server, bite-size training, imports, and report writing.
- Creating customer-facing content that may include Help sheets, Videos, Training Guides, and Webinars
- Attending and contributing to quarterly team coaching sessions & customer handovers
- Continual personal development and training including continual product / legislative development.
Knowledge & Experience
To be a successful Pegasus Software Support Specialist you will possess the following:
Essential
- AAT Level 2 or equivalent (or significant accounting knowledge and experience)
- 2+ Years Pegasus Opera3 Accounts Software Support experience
- Pegasus Software Accreditation
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Structured problem-solving skills
- Able to work as a team or on own
- A working experience of Microsoft Excel, using the application to view & manipulate data.
- A working knowledge of database admin and querying Visual Foxpro databases.
- A strong understanding of IT and navigating Microsoft Windows
Preferable
- A working knowledge of Office 365
- A working knowledge of database admin and querying Microsoft SQL Databases
- CIS V5 Accredited
The successful Software Support Specialist is someone with a proven ability to multi-task, has a drive to understand and resolve technical problems and who is honest and empathetic towards both colleagues and customers. They will be an excellent written and verbal communicator, who also has a strong eye for detail.
This person can work independently, as well as in a team and is someone with a passion for continual development, a positive thinker, flexible, and proactive in their approach.
