About the Role
The Cardinal Medical Practice (formed as a result of a recent merger between Chesterfield Drive, Deben Road and Norwich Road) have a great opportunity for a Paramedic/Visiting Clinician to join us at this very exciting time.
As part of Suffolk Primary Care, Cardinal is the largest Medical practice in Suffolk providing GP services to over 30,000 patients across Ipswich and as part of our ongoing plan for further growth, we are also progressing a move into a new purpose built facility in 2025.
To work as part of a clinical team, with GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants across practices in the PCN.
To be responsible for seeing patients across multiple practice sites and for occasionally visiting patients in their place of residence, who present with a wide range of minor illness, urgent and same day requests for treatment and chronic disease management; providing care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
The post holder will need to demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills. There will be the need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
About the Candidate
If you are an experienced Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) / Paramedic wanting a new change in your career, we would love to hear from you.- Registered Paramedic with HCPC
- Minimum of three years post registration with demonstrable experience of using diagnostic skills
- Experience of dealing with vulnerable patients
- Working and qualified at Level 6 and willing to continue study to Level 7.
- Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Advanced Level functional assessment qualification
- Demonstrates accountability for delivering professional expertise and direct service provision
- Assessor/Mentorship course
- Evidence of working in a community/primary care setting
- Experience in teaching & supporting junior staff/students
- Experience of working in primary care
- Experience of working in a GP practice
