Payroll Specialist

The Vacancy

You’ll support the delivery of accurate and timely payroll services to our 4000+ colleagues, across a fast growing multi-site business, whilst providing additional support to the Payroll and Benefits team.

Here's what you'll be doing:

Managing the processing of all the divisional data for monthly payroll submission.

Accurately checking and reconciliation of all payroll processes, including new starters, leavers, bonuses, and salary amendments into our system

Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.

Processing holiday, sick, maternity and paternity leave payments

Distributing forms such as P45, P60 and P11d

Administration of Pensions and Benefits ensuring we are maintaining and delivering an excellent customer experience for all our colleagues.

Managing any requests for information or help from stakeholders including HMRC, HR, Finance and Auditors.

Responding to questions regarding pay and benefits policies/procedures

Keeping abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage or tax laws and applies changes as appropriate.

Establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with customers, both internal and external.

You should apply for this role if you have

Experience of processing payrolls over 4000+ employees

Knowledge of the calculation of statuary payments, including SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, ShPP

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

In-depth understanding of human resources and labour rules and regulations

Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills

Working knowledge of payroll software/ ADP knowledge desirable

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Interpersonal skills

CIPP Level qualified desirable

Experience in bookkeeping or accounting desirable

Knowledge of Human Resources Operational function
