Role Profile
My client is a thriving business in the Stockport area, looking to hire a Payroll Specialist for an exciting 6 month contract.
During this time you will support the wider HR team by administrating monthly payroll and providing project support for a system implementation / upgrade.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business with a great working culture and office environment. Although the initial term of the contract is 6 months, there is potential for further opportunities thereafter.

Key responsibilities:
- Assume full ownership for company payroll for circa 160 employees
- Undertake all payroll administration such as SSP, SMPS, SPP etc and new starters/leavers
- Act as first point of contact for all payroll-related queries
- Produce accurate monthly reports
- Complete year end tax submissions
Ideal Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year payroll experience with good hands-on knowledge of payroll process
- Competence and confidence to assume ownership of monthly payroll process
- Good systems skills, ideally with experience of SD Worx
- Previous experience of system implementation / upgrade would be advantageous but not essential
