Job Details

Our client is international law firm with offices across the United States, Europe and Asia. They provide a full range of international arbitration and dispute resolution, investigations and criminal litigation, financial services enforcement, and intellectual property litigation.

They are now looking to hire an Finance Payroll Assistant on a permanent basis. This role will be in the Finance team working within the finance team, to help in all finance and payroll matters for the Firm.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll preparation via ADP payroll bureau, preparation of P11d and PSA returns.
  • Reconciliation of the IPO Deposit accounts.
  • Review work in progress to identify possible missed billing opportunities; advise within the department.
  • Provide support for the Firm’s time recording / invoicing system.
  • Preparation of the monthly fee billing reports.
  • Provide support as required to the Accounts Receivable / Payable functions, to include leave cover.
  • Return completed IRS Tax documentation to clients as required (admin function).
  • Assist with month end process to include processing of journals.
  • Reconcile nominated Balance Sheet accounts.
  • Prepare analysis of travel, entertaining, and subscriptions by fee-earner or employee.
  • Prepare analysis of Business Development costs.
  • Bankline payments.
  • Assist with Audit enquiries to include reports.
  • Anything else that may be deemed appropriate to the role or that arises on an ad hoc basis, and / or requested by management or the Partners.

CandidateProfile

  • Payroll and accounting experience.
  • Access Dimensions Accounting System or similar.
  • Proficient (Intermediate) in the use of Microsoft Excel & Word software.
  • Extremely organised.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a willingness to assist others.
  • Very flexible with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, tolerant and determined.
  • Committed and enthusiastic.
  • Pro-active approach to working and problem solving.
  • Experience of working in a law firm or a partnership environment (desirable).
