Our client is international law firm with offices across the United States, Europe and Asia. They provide a full range of international arbitration and dispute resolution, investigations and criminal litigation, financial services enforcement, and intellectual property litigation.
They are now looking to hire an Finance Payroll Assistant on a permanent basis. This role will be in the Finance team working within the finance team, to help in all finance and payroll matters for the Firm.
Responsibilities
- Payroll preparation via ADP payroll bureau, preparation of P11d and PSA returns.
- Reconciliation of the IPO Deposit accounts.
- Review work in progress to identify possible missed billing opportunities; advise within the department.
- Provide support for the Firm’s time recording / invoicing system.
- Preparation of the monthly fee billing reports.
- Provide support as required to the Accounts Receivable / Payable functions, to include leave cover.
- Return completed IRS Tax documentation to clients as required (admin function).
- Assist with month end process to include processing of journals.
- Reconcile nominated Balance Sheet accounts.
- Prepare analysis of travel, entertaining, and subscriptions by fee-earner or employee.
- Prepare analysis of Business Development costs.
- Bankline payments.
- Assist with Audit enquiries to include reports.
- Anything else that may be deemed appropriate to the role or that arises on an ad hoc basis, and / or requested by management or the Partners.
CandidateProfile
- Payroll and accounting experience.
- Access Dimensions Accounting System or similar.
- Proficient (Intermediate) in the use of Microsoft Excel & Word software.
- Extremely organised.
- Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
- Team player with a willingness to assist others.
- Very flexible with a positive attitude.
- Reliable, tolerant and determined.
- Committed and enthusiastic.
- Pro-active approach to working and problem solving.
- Experience of working in a law firm or a partnership environment (desirable).
