Payroll Assistant
Location: Hybrid, Edinburgh-based
Salary: £25,030.23

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Assistant to join Ark! Our current Payroll Assistant will be taking on a new senior position next month after 9 years with Ark as our new Payroll lead. The primary role is to manage all aspects of Ark’s payroll processing by ensuring that the payroll processes and associated procedures are accurately carried out on time. In addition you will provide support to the new Payroll Co-ordinator with their responsibility for ensuring that the department provides an effective and efficient pay service to all Ark employees.
Ark is a major provider of Housing, Care and Support to around 400 people with long term and enduring conditions such as learning disabilities, mental health issues, dementia and autism. Our aim is to ensure that those who use our services get the very best out of Ark to enable them to live as independently as possible and lead a happy life.
You will provide the first point of contact for all Ark employees (c. 700) in relation to any aspect of payroll whilst ensuring that Ark’s monthly payroll and expenses are paid on time and that all related pay calculations are accurate. Full details of the job description can be found here.

The post holder should display good interpersonal skills and a strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately input data in a timely manner. The post holder must also have the ability to gather and analyse information to respond to queries.
