The Role:
As a Payroll Manager with iTrent experience, you'll join an evolving People and Culture function to play a vital role in supporting the business and delivering an exceptional colleague experience to over 3500 colleagues. The Payroll Manager will manage the weekly payroll, monthly payroll, and expenses within our UK and Ireland businesses. This is a brilliant role for a Payroll Manager who enjoys managing the day to day payroll (including our payroll service provider), and always looking for areas of improvement!
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-performing payroll function to our colleagues
- Manage our payroll provider relationship, reviewing their service and performance
- Ensure data compliance is in line with legal regulations (incl. communities, GDPR, security & access)
- Guide and advise on payroll processing, policies, and procedures
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve the service, working closely with relevant stakeholders
- Receive and resolve escalations from HR Shared Services and wider HR Team as Subject Matter Expert for all Payroll questions
- Provide top-tier support and advice to our business when employees have payroll queries, issues, or concerns
This is primarily a remote-based role with visits to our Head Office on an ad-hoc basis as required.
You should be based in the UK and our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Skills and competencies
- Experience managing payroll services, incl. A managed service environment with iTrent experience
- Experience in delivering monthly/weekly payroll to high accuracy in a similar-sized business of 3,500 colleagues
- Knowledge of GDPR and other data management regulations
- A superb communicator who can inform and advise those around them
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: HR & Payroll Projects Manager, HR Manager, HR Operations Manager, HRIS Implementation Manager, HRIS Project Manager, HRIS Specialist, HRIS and Payroll Manager, Payroll & Benefits Manager, Payroll Manager, Payroll Officer, Payroll Specialist, Senior HRIS Manager, Workday, iTrent.
