Job description
Age UK is recruiting for an efficient Payroll Coordinator to join our team to hold joint responsibility for all payroll processes for all group payrolls, ensuring they are managed effectively according to Age UK, HMRC and MHR timescales and key deadlines.
As Payroll Coordinator, you will ensure the compliance of Statutory regulations currently in force and implement changes as required by law i.e. operating correct procedures regarding PAYE, national insurance, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity pay, working family tax credits, student loans and all other statutory regulations.
The successful post holder will work with the current Payroll Coordinator to ensure the correct processing for all employee benefits that impact pay by continuously reviewing processes - such as car benefit, childcare vouchers, tech help scheme, season tickets, union subs etc and ensuring the correct treatment of tax and NI.
An exciting hybrid opportunity, this role offers flexible working between home and a London co-working hub. The successful applicant will be required to commute to our modern offices in London on a regular basis.

You will have:
- Experience of providing administration support within a payroll function.
- Ability to work at pace adhering to inflexible deadlines.
- Excellent excel skills and experience of using MS Office.
- Experience of using a modern payroll system for a large payroll function.
- Excellent attention to detail skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with parties inside and outside of the organisation, handling queries and requests.
