Payroll Administrator

To say that the role is important is an understatement: you’ll be part of a small team who ensure that the pay and benefits of our circa 3000 colleagues are correct, paid on time and in full! You’ll become an expert on our iTrent MHR system, build your knowledge of the legislation and fundamentals of payroll and provide an absolutely vital service.

About the role:
· Maintaining accurate employee records including overtime and other personnel data
· Calculating expenses and entering onto appropriate pay system
· Verifying payroll transactions and ensuring compliance with internal controls
· Collating employee queries regarding payroll issues, including pay, taxes and benefits
· Generating reports and preparing adjustments to correct errors to ensure accurate payroll and benefit-in-kind records
· Assisting in ensuring compliance with payroll tax laws and regulations
· Maintaining confidential records and ensure data security of payroll records
· Keeping up-to-date with changes in employment laws, tax regulations, case law and other employment-related regulations
What you’ll need:
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong Excel skills (comfortable with VLookups, Filtering and Pivot Tables as a minimum)
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ideally – an understanding of employment law and payroll regulations
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
· Ideally - knowledge of HR policies and procedures
· Customer-service focus
