A leading independent practice are seeking a Payroll Accountant to join their team in Redhill. The firm offer a family friendly feel in a supportive and collaborative environment.
They are looking for a candidate with a minimum of three years experience in payroll, as they will need to be able to deal with client queries as well as prepare the payroll and have knowledge of automatic enrolment as well as an understanding of the job retention scheme and corona virus sick pay. The candidate should also have knowledge of Sage 50 payroll, and ideally be AAT, but the amount of experience in a private accountancy practice is the more important element.
Duties include:
- Processing monthly payrolls for a number of our clients (approximately 75 payroll schemes)
- Dealing with H M Revenue and Customs and clients with any queries
- Assisting clients with automatic enrolment queries
Skills and experience
- AAT qualified, experienced payroll person used to working in private practice
- Detailed knowledge of Sage 50 cloud payroll
- Strong computer skills Word, Excel
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good people skills, well organized, able to work on own initiative and have good attention to detail
- Willing to do own filing and archiving
