Personal Injury RTA Solicitor – Manchester
Personal Injury RTA Solicitor – Manchester – The established and highly-regarded RTA / Motor team of this leading Legal 500-ranked law firm is looking for an experienced RTA Solicitor. The successful candidate will join the team to work with a selection of their top defendant insurer clients as well as corporates. The caseload will consist of a mixture of fast-track and multi track matters as well as assisting a Partner on complex injury cases.

- Previous Experience: Candidates must have experience of running their own caseload of RTA / motor cases. Ideally, the team is looking for applicants with defendant experience. That said, they will readily consider those with a claimant background also.
More about the caseload – motor injury
The team is looking for candidates who have proven experience carrying their own RTA caseload. In particular, the successful applicant will be expected to:
- Manage a mixed caseload of litigated claims whether Fast Track or multi track.
- Draft all court documents – the role involves a high degree of autonomy though support is also available.
- Instruct counsel and experts where appropriate.
- Assess liability and quantum and prepare reports / advice.
- Negotiate settlement of both liability and quantum.
- Negotiate fixed recoverable costs and disbursements.
You will be dealing with ‘tier 1’ insurer clients and their respective in-house legal teams on a daily basis. Therefore, a key requirement of any candidate is to adhere to and work in accordance with client Service Level Agreements (“SLAs”). Quality service delivery and managing client expectations is paramount.
Opportunities to progress to Complex / Catastrophic Injury
One of the key advantages of this role is the opportunity to progress. As part of your daily responsibilities, you will assist an experienced Partner in complex injury work including high-value head and spinal injury work. In particular, many colleagues from this team are able to progress to other teams handling other such complex work such as cross jurisdictional claims and other types of catastrophic / large loss work such as Chronic Pain.
