About us:
Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:
An exciting opportunity has come up to work supporting learners in a new way.
- Full-time, Fixed Term until 30th June 2023
- £22,658 - £24,665 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively work with learners and College staff (tutors and support services) to improve attendance, retention, attainment and address general behavioural issues.
- To work with the learner and the college staff to identify the appropriate intervention strategy needed to assist the learner to make appropriate progress.
- To maintain accurate, timely and updated entries of progress/intervention strategies on the student information database
About you:
- Experience of providing broad pastoral care with 14-19 year olds in an education setting.
- Ability to motivate, relate to and enthuse young people.
- Effective written communication.
