Our amazing children and families at Charles Saer are looking for a Pastoral and Family Mentor to help them learn, be safe and love coming to school every day. Are you that person?

We are seeking to appoint a committed Pastoral and Family Support Mentor. This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual to join our thriving, forward thinking and passionate school and help us ensure all our children and families are provided with every opportunity to succeed.

As Pastoral and Family support Mentor, the key purpose of your role would be to work closely with our children and their families, providing high quality care, advice and support. You will also be working with families and children to support regular attendance. An understanding of mental health and well-being barriers and how to support children and families in this area is essential.

You will be confident in communicating with a variety of professionals in different contexts including face to face meetings and using ICT to keep accurate records. Working closely with the Headteacher, SLT, and our Family Support Worker, you will play a key role in implementing effective support strategies where a commitment to a ‘child-centred nurturing’ ethos is essential.

We are very proud of our children, and our team of committed professionals at Charles Saer. We have a fantastic building which is less than 10 years old. It houses an ICT suite, a fabulous children’s kitchen and
. we can almost see the sea!! No one day is ever the same, and we need the right person who understands that some of our children need nurture and support. You MUST love your job!
