Part time Passenger Assistant for family run HOME TO SCHOOL TRANSPORT OPERATOR IN NORTHAMPTON
We are currently recruiting reliable and caring part time passenger assistants across the Northampton area to look after children or adults some with complex needs on the way to school or day centres.
The Opportunity
We have part time PA work available, the work is every school day term time only for both morning and afternoons. The work on average is between 15 and 20 hours per week. This rewarding role is to support children and young adults with a range of Special Educational Needs to and from school.
Overall Job
· The care of children or adults to school, college or day care centres.
· To work in an effective, safe, flexible manner
Passenger Assistant Responsibilities
· To support children or adults getting on and off from the vehicles.
· To look after the needs of the adults and children during the journey (training is provided).
· To make sure that passengers are always safe.
· Be available both am and pm for all school days.
· All positions are Permanent but Part Time.
Passenger Assistant Requirements
· Experience working with children is an advantage but not essential.
· Experience working with special needs is an advantage but not essential.
· Good command of the English language.
. PATS Certificate (The company will arrange this)
· DBS criminal record check as you will be working with children, young persons and or vulnerable adults. (The company will arrange this)
· You should have a friendly and positive attitude, enjoy working with children and be reliable.
· Ability and willingness to work with children and adults of varying needs.
· Previous experience would be beneficial but not essential.
· To be fit enough to push wheelchairs for short distances if required.

APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE, SCHOOL TERM TIMES MONDAY TO FRIDAY AND BE AVAILABLE TO WORK BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7AM TILL 9AM FOR MORNINGS & 2PM TILL 4PM FOR AFTERNOONS.
