About the role:
Our department are looking for someone who is able to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, helping them and any equipment from their home onto the vehicle and off the vehicle as required, utilising any mechanical aids as necessary.
You will be required to assist in ensuring that passengers are transported in accordance with various safety guidelines and that all safety equipment is effectively deployed, i.e., use of passenger lift, seat belts, restraining harnesses and wheelchair clamps or webbing straps.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by exercising your initiative in emergency situations
We do ask that you have a willingness to attend regular training as part of a planned programme.
Applicants for this role will need to be able to undertake the physical lifting of mobility equipment and assist those, including adults, with walking difficulty when required, including the use (after appropriate training) of passenger lift.
