Role Overview
The Parts Technical Specialist will lead support for parts technical inquiries and specifications. Experience with parts catalogs and service manuals is essential for this position. The work will involve investigating inquiries from service centres and mobile technicians with timely follow up. Concerns could include physical parts inspections in warehouses, issuing stock holds, quarantining stock and liaising with aftersales for corrective action. This position will work with Service Engineering to support product recalls and campaigns with new countermeasure parts.
The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of service and parts operations and the ability to distill information and communicate in a clear manner. Cross-functional experience working with Service Operations, Service Engineering, Campaign and Recall Management to help support essential field service and ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day running of all parts operations at the location, including inbound and outbound shipments and the effective organization of the parts storage area.- Support parts requirements for Fisker customers, team members and service partners.
- At market launch, the Fisker Center+ location will have a key function staging parts inventory to distribute to other locations, including potential export to other markets. The role will also manage this activity end-to-end
- Troubleshoot parts concerns, interfacing with Service Operations and Engineering to resolve inquiries from service centers and mobile technicians.
- Maintain part number and inventory record accuracy.
- Conduct investigations into parts quality issues with the support of Quality and Engineering teams; may involve quarantine of bad stock and return to vendor when necessary/as instructed.
- Coordinate the development of necessary documents to support inventory management and inbound/outbound distribution.
- Ensure the regulatory compliance of parts handling, storage and shipments (Dangerous Goods training will be provided to the successful candidate).
- Perform ad hoc data analysis and provide efficient and accurate analytical support for on-the-spot business enquiries and adjustments.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
- Several years of parts experience working with parts inventory
- Knowledge of automotive parts and the ability to link parts requirements to repair orders
- Ability to maintain and update stock records and to produce material management documentation ensuring accuracy at all times
- Effective communication skills.

Additional Requirements
- The role will require the handling and lifting of automotive parts, unloading, stowing, picking and loading in accordance with safe working instructions, and a level of dexterity to prepare efficiently packaged consignments for onwards distribution.
