Job description
The School of Archaeology is looking to recruit a part-time Receptionist to help provide a first-class reception service for staff, students and visitors to the School of Archaeology.
As the first point of contact for welcoming and assisting staff, students and visitors to the department, you will have excellent communication skills. You will be responsible for dealing with general front of house enquiries, including answering the telephone and responding to emails. You will also provide administrative support for departmental staff and make the arrangements for conferences, seminars and meetings in the building. Working hours for the post would be in the region of 14 hours per week to cover Thursday and Friday.
You will have excellent organisational skills, excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills, together with the ability to manage a diverse workload in an efficient manner. Previous experience in working in an administrative or similar role and a demonstrable interest in the subject of Archaeology would be desirable.
