Funky Labels is a small family run business specialising in the production of labels, stickers, and personalised gifts. Predominantly selling to the general public. We pride ourselves on offering exceptional customer service at all times.
We are looking for an additional team member to cover maternity leave. This is an initial temporary position but we anticipate this will become a permanent position for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, has high attention to detail, with a confident can-do attitude, and has ambition as the role is quite varied. A willingness to learn is important. We are looking for a part-time production assistant, initially 18 hours per week. Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays 9am - 3pm. Additional hours available in peek periods.
This will include data entry, managing the printers, proof/checking of orders, cutting and packing of orders. This is very much a hands-on position. The position will include office admin and all aspects of the creation of orders including using templates. You will be trained to use all print and production equipment along with our laser engraver. No two days are the same.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has good I.T skills. You must have proven computer skills with excellent communication skills. You must have an eye for attention to detail, work well under pressure, and be able to prioritise your workload. You will need a drive and determination to learn.
Role Responsibilities
- Processing orders using templates, downloading orders, and allocating specific postage
- Answer customer queries both on the phone and through emails.
- Taking orders off the printers, proof checking, and processing ready for packing.
- Weeding and heat pressing
- Engraving
Person Specification - essentials
- Computer literate with good proven I.T skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Must show an eye for attention to small details.
- A willingness to learn and have an adaptable approach.
This role is offered on a part-time temporary basis. If this becomes a permanent position, there is the possibility to take on additional duties and progress within the business.
The role is Monday, Tuesday & Friday core hours 9 am to 3pm ( a slight degree of flexibity available)
