Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 2-8. We work on site at park districts, schools, preschools and daycare centers all over the nation. We offer rewarding work, flexible hours and GREAT PAY. Soccer Shots is looking for a candidate with availability during the day M-F, Mornings, Afternoons, or Both. We pay $20 per session with a training rate of $12 per class. Training begins immediately. Candiates with more availability will be offered substitute coaching positions the remainder of the Summer season and Full session coaching in the fall season. Our coaches serve as role models and mentors, embrace and exemplify our core values, and are able to connect with a large group of young children. They are caring, patient, enthusiastic, reliable, love kids, have no problem being silly, are physically active, and have some knowledge of soccer. The ideal applicant must meet the following criteria: 1. Passion and Experience Working with Children: Kid tested, kid approved! Previous experience working with young children (2-8 years old). This is more important than having played soccer. 2. Responsible and Reliable: Arrives on time to each session, can effectively teach a group of 10 or more very young children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director, etc. You must have reliable transportation and be able to commute throughout Will and Western Cook Counties (not the city of Chicago). 3. Professional: Neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director, self-assured. 4. Remarkable: Enthusiastic and high energy. Must enjoy interacting with young kids, be able to connect with kids ages 2-8, make the Soccer Shots session the highlight of every child's week. 5. Soccer Smarts: Official soccer experience is not required. However, having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful. 6. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Soccer Shots classes require instructors to be physically fit and support an active lifestyle. The work environment during a typical class can be indoor or outdoor (weather permitting) and the noise level is usually moderate to loud. Coaches must be able to carry an equipment bag that contains 14 balls, Pugg goals, and more. Soccer Shots can work around varying schedules.
