Job description
At IKEA, it is so much more than a job.
We have exciting opportunities for Customer Delivery Drivers based at our Bristol store, with part-time contracts ranging from 16 to 20 hours a week!
Provisional closing date for applications: 26 February 2023.
WHAT WE OFFER
Due to Health and Safety regulations, successful applicants are required to be at least 18 years of age and have held a valid and clean driver's license (Category B) for at least 24 months, and to undergo and clear a background check before commencing in this role.
WORKING WITH US HAS ITS REWARDS
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
At IKEA, it is all about our customers, and we are looking for candidates with a passion for helping people by ensuring smooth aftersales delivery in our brand-new electric vehicles (EV). IKEA has a sustainability commitment to complete all deliveries via EV by 2025, and you will play a big role in it.
As part of the resolution service, your role will be aftersales delivery and collection directly to customer homes as well as helping them to find the best solutions for their issues with speed and efficiency.
The ideal candidate must be self-reliant, eager to contribute and have a positive problem-solving approach to any tasks and challenges, also to be able to carry out manual tasks when required.
We provide detailed training during onboarding.
Prior experience in customer service or retail is desirable while not essential.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
Your day will start with planning your route and loading your vehicle ready to meet our customers. You will be the face of IKEA when meeting the customer, so strong customer service skills are desirable. You will take initiative to proactively resolve customer issues, manage customer escalations by identifying the root cause and going above and beyond to surprise and delight customers and support our focus on Happy Customers.
The role is mobile, and you will be responsible for inspecting and housekeeping of the vehicles before and after customer deliveries.
WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE
It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality. We welcome candidates from all walks of life to join us, where we feel valued for our uniqueness and recognised for our diverse talents.

If you have any special requirements during the interview process, please let us know as soon as possible.
First step: Please attach an updated CV with your application so we can get to know you better.
