NLS Solicitors is a law firm specialising in providing immigration advice, with offices based in Cardiff, Swansea and Newport. Our strong commitment to excellent customer service and honest immigration advice means that clients return to us time and again.
We are looking for a Part - Time Administration Assistant to join our team in Cardiff on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There is a possibility of extra hours when the workload allows.
The successful applicant should have previous administration experience.
Duties will include the following but may expand as the job holder progresses in the role:
Reception Duties
- Maintain the high standards of services within the Reception Area as the first point of contact for visitors.
- Answering the phone.
- Making appointments in Fee Earners' diaries over the telephone, internet or in person.
- Arranging interpreters and other experts where necessary.
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
- Liaising with suppliers and supervising them whilst on site to endure the needs of the office are met.
- Maintain stock levels for stationery.
- May be required to cover reception in any of the other offices in the event of holiday / sickness
Administration Duties
- General Administration to include filing, faxing, photocopying
- Data input into the firm's case management system under supervision
- Completion of file transfers to other providers under supervision within the specified time period
- Assisting Fee Earners and the Practice Manager when and where required
Training provided
- On the job training and support
Desirable personal qualities
- Computer literate in MS Office and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- A good telephone manner is essential
Qualification(s) Required
- 2 GCSE at C or equivalent
- English at C or equivalent
- Maths at C or equivalent
Welsh Language Requirements
- Welsh Spoken Skills: No.
- Welsh Written Skills: No.
Start Date: Immediate

Part-time hours: 21 per week
Salary: £10.71 per hour
