Job description

Parenting Workers are part of Cornwall Council’s Early Help team and form part of the Family Hub offer to children, young people and families (aged minus nine months to nineteen years) The Early Help team is made up of Family Workers, Youth Workers and Parenting Workers and aims to identify a problem at an early stage and provide purposeful and effective help to avoid escalation of need and risk.


Parenting Workers deliver a range of evidence based parenting programmes and approaches for example Incredible Years 0-12, Passionate About series, Take 3, Living with Parents and will promote these amongst partner agencies including education, health, and voluntary and community sector. Parenting Workers play a key role in increasing the engagement of vulnerable and target groups and will work with parents/carers in a group or 1-2-1 in a variety of settings or in the family home.


We currently have a Vacancy in West Cornwall based in the Penwith team (Penzance, Hayle and St Ives areas) for 4 days a week


All roles involve travelling so having access to a vehicle is essential.
