Join our innovative community engagement team who support our valued peer to peer lung health groups. You will develop the online parent carer network, sourcing opportunities for engaging speakers and educational resources to support the management of young people’s lung condition.
Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.
Reporting to the Head of Volunteering and Support Groups, you will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders to create a reputable network of respiratory experts, parents and carers to deliver a trusted and reputable network to support the youth voice and their families. You will be sourcing opportunities to recruit volunteers to support the network and open face to face groups in areas identified as having high air pollution and health inequalities.
You will be experienced in community engagement, with a focus on working with families and demonstrate an understanding of best practice when recruiting and supporting volunteers. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently.
