National Park College is currently seeking a part-time Adult Education Paraprofessional beginning as soon as possible. Responsibilities include: performing office or clerical duties that are moderately complex, following set procedures, carrying out instructions at times without direct supervision, and supporting instructional staff in the completion of their duties. This position reports to The Director of Adult Education.

Responsibilities include: performing office or clerical duties that are moderately complex, following set procedures, carrying out instructions at times without direct supervision, and supporting instructional staff in the completion of their duties. This position reports to The Director of Adult Education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answers and distributes incoming calls and messages (answering questions about program several times a day)
- Meets and greets visitors and students as they enter the center and provides accurate information to the public
- Completes intake forms and helps orient new students
- Assesses student educational levels using the TABE Locator and proper TABE form and administers TABE according to publisher’s guidelines
- Enrolls students in LACES database as needed
- Posts student attendance in LACES as needed
- Maintains student files as required
- Assists instructors in keeping accurate records
- Completes records and reports as requested
- Assists instructors in making calls or other correspondence for student recruitment and retention purposes
- Types letters, memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, minutes of meetings, etc., as needed.
- Files student records and other documentation
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed presentation skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Team-oriented and self-starter
- Effective critical thinking and communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting
- Extensive walking
- Prolonged screen time
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
