Paramedic practitioner position at Saxonbury House Surgery Crowborough East Sussex.
5-10 sessions per week with flexible working hours available and opportunity for a job share
Salary dependent on experience
Practice opening hours Weekdays 8.00am-6.30 pm but some early morning, evening or Saturday morning work potentially available.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Paramedic Practitioner to join our established team and be a part of a Practice that really cares and makes a difference within the community.
You will be working within a purpose built surgery within Crowborough which serves c9500 patients. The practice is located within a beautiful rural setting in the High Weald area of East Sussex but with easy links to the south and near-by Tunbridge Wells and West Kent.
At Saxonbury House we offer a culture of learning to all our clinicians working at the practice. We are a training practice for medical students and also GP registrars.
We are ideally looking for a registered paramedic who has a recognised degree qualification in autonomous practice or who has commenced the training programme for this qualification. Preferably experienced in a Primary Care setting. We are looking for someone who genuinely cares about patient welfare and who wishes to be part of a dedicated clinical team.
Who are we?
We are a long established GP surgery providing Primary Care Services to the Crowborough area in East Sussex. We have a patient population of over 9500 patients with 4 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 2 GP registrars, 1 ANP, 3 Nurses, 3 HCAs , 2 First Contact Physios, a Social Prescriber and 4 Care co-ordinators . We are looking to expand and take on a Paramedic Practitioner who will become an integral part of our clinical team.
We have taken part in the General Practice Improvement Programme and continue to review our structures and processes which have led to an increase in productivity and improved our excellent levels of service. We are a high QOF achieving practice historically. Our organisational culture is a learning one, where opportunities for improvement can come from any member of the team, with solutions openly discussed.
The Practice had to make significant changes to the way we operated due to the Covid 19 Pandemic to ensure that staff and patients were kept safe and since transitioning through the pandemic times we now have a mixed model of telephone and face to face consultations depending on the patient’s expressed preference or as clinically indicated.
As a Practice we continue to provide Covid vaccinations as the designated site for the High Weald PCN.
