Central Barking and Dagenham PCN are seeking a Paramedic Practitioner to further enhance and support their team, working across the Network.
As a Paramedic Practitioner you will possess many skills and would be able to competently assess patients in the face to face, remotely and on home visits. You would negotiate mutually agreeable management plans which may include watchful waiting, prescribing, admission, investigation and /or referral to other community team members.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Work as an autonomous, accountable Paramedic, providing a holistic approach including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to deliver high-quality patient services in the home or practice.
- Work closely together, and as part of a wider multi-disciplinary PCN workforce including pharmacists and social prescribers
- Use advanced clinical skills to provide education to patients and service users, promoting self-care and empower them to make informed choices about their treatment.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, refer, or signpost patients with undifferentiated or undiagnosed conditions relating to minor illness or injury, supported by senior clinicians as needed
About the Candidate

You will have the following skills and experience:
- Be a registered Paramedic or Paramedic with HCPC, with significant post registration experience, ideally with experience of working in Primary Care.
- Be a non-medical prescriber, working towards or interested in working towards this qualification
- To be able to effectively assess, plan, treat and refer patients appropriately and evaluate patient care confidently.
- Have experience of working to protocols / guidelines and patient groups / patient specific directives.
- To exhibit excellent communication skills when dealing with clients. Non-verbal and verbal skills required.
- Have the ability to make clear decisions with confidence and communicate these effectively.
- To work within the parameters within skills and knowledge, to recognise the limitations of practice and to work within the boundaries of training and capability, according to the Paramedic council Code of Conduct / -Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience of autonomous practice working and multi-professional team working.
- Can demonstrate a broad and sound knowledge of complex and common conditions in primary care in both adults and children.

Salary: £27,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
