Job description
Bury GP Federation is looking for paramedics to work with the Primary Care Networks (PCN); Horizon, Whitefield, Prestwich. The role will support the ongoing development of services delivered by the PCN and will include development opportunities including prescribing and career progression.
You will be working within the community setting, as an autonomous paramedic providing holistic care to patients. This will include assessing, managing, and treating patients predominately at their home. This is an evolving role to work alongside local practices to provide an acute visiting service.
The focus of this role will be developing independent primary and urgent care clinical practice. The successful appointee will initially be conducting same day consultations on home visits. There may also be the opportunity to develop into other services in the future including:
· Vaccination and immunisation
· Women’s’ and men’s’ health clinics
· Cancer screening
· Scheduled primary care
Working hours are predominantly during the day during the week, though there are some meetings which will require attendance.
This is an ideal role for a paramedic who aspires to advanced clinical practice (ACP). The goal of the PCN will be to evolve the appointee to become a compelling candidate for its internal trainee ACP program.
