We are delighted to be instructed, on several interim paralegal positions with the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry. The Inquiry is investigating the abuse of children in residential care in Scotland, as defined in its Terms of Reference. This is a unique opportunity to join this division based in Edinburgh (with hybrid working available). The contract is for a fixed term period of 23 months. The positions are full-time and are salary Band B2.
Work of the paralegals includes:
·Supporting the Inquiry’s solicitors and counsel in their investigations.
·Working closely with the Inquiry’s records and evidence management team to redact documents and evidence.
·Assisting the Solicitor to the inquiry to assess accounts of expenses.
·Preparing papers for use by Counsel and members of the Inquiry’s statement-taking team.
Applicants should have paralegal experience or other relevant experience. This is an excellent opportunity for highly conscientious individuals to gain further experience and make a significant contribution to the work of the Inquiry.
