Due to our growth, we are currently recruiting for roles within our Immigration and Family law Department based in Manchester. We are recruiting for roles in the Immigration and Family Law Department for Paralegal / Trainee Solicitors. Training Contracts are offered after successful completion of 6 months probation period.
Required Skills:
- Previous experience in immigration and/or family law practice (minimum 6 months)
- Hold an LLB, LPC, GDL or SQE - preferable
- Strong commercial understanding of an operating legal environment
- Good drafting and research skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
You'll be required to:
- Manage your own case load
- Prepare evidence and applications for submission to legal authorities
- Draft letters of instruction, requests, Instructions to Counsel
- Prepare briefing notes, action plans, file notes
- Review documents and maintain compliance with files
- Maintain ongoing contact with individual clients and manage expectations
- Conduct research and keep up to date with legal and industry practices
- Manage deadlines and tight timelines on busy workloads
- Any other tasks that may be required
