We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our highly regarded Medical Negligence team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

As part of the role you will be required to demonstrate excellent and sound file management responsibilities being responsible for ensuring that our files are in good order including all legal litigation documents as well as medical records paginating as appropriate. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Obtaining and reviewing medical records, preparing medical chronologies and organisation of medical records
  • Liaising with clients and handling matters with appropriate sensitivity
  • Witness interviewing and investigation
  • Attending case conferences with counsel and expert witnesses and preparing notes
  • Writing case reports as well as day-to-day correspondence
  • Document control – maintaining accurate records and files
  • Thorough preparation of documentation/cases to trial
  • Evidence gathering research

There will also be an occasional requirement to visit the London office.


Key Skills & Experience


  • Strong educational background with a minimum grade of 2:1
  • Experience as a Paralegal in personal injury or medical negligence would be advantageous
  • Reliable and professional
  • Team player
  • Ability to work methodically and at pace, even when time pressured
