Paralegal - Growing National Firm - Specialist - Entry Level
My client is an established and growing national firm with lofty ambitions. They are looking for an entry-level paralegal, with a real hunger to learn, to join their wonderful team, at their London office.
Your time will be split between multiple teams, and you will gain valuable experience in all. The departments include Employment, Property, Family & Wills, Litigation.
This role would suit somebody who has experience in some/all of the above specialisms, either via the workplace or during their studies. It is also important that the successful candidate has a keen interest in one of/several of those.
You will be supported by a brilliant team, with a really collaborative approach. For the right person, there are opportunities to progress over time, with the potential for a future training contract very much on the table further down the line.
Requirements:
- Law Degree.
- Desire to work in financial sector
- Some paralegal / legal assistant experience within a law firm
Paralegal duties include:
- Perform Research
- Organise evidence and important papers for lawyer review
- Keep client files organised and up to date.
- Prepare reports for lawyers and draft legal documents
- Gather formal statements
- Trial note taking and reading court transcripts
- File documents such as briefs and appeals
- Arrange meetings
- Contact clients
- Diary management
- Other admin duties
Paralegal Candidates should possess the following key skills
- Law Degree.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Attention to detail, organisation and confidence are all a must
- Resourceful and innovative
- Team player
- IT skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of law and legal systems
- Superior research skills.
- High level of discretion with confidential matters.
- Ability to prioritise and detail orientated.
